What is Jado? Your questions answered!

More and more regularly I am being asked about the philosophical side of Jado from those who wish to gain a greater knowledge of are beautiful art. In light of this i have decided to give weekly bloggs for people to read and then ask direct questions if they want  to; please see below, i hope this helps
Master Jake Ogden Uss.

Jado Kuin Do is a modern day, practical art of self defence founded by Master Jake D. Ogden in 1998. Jake trained for many years in traditional kung fu (Lee Chuan Fa) and Judo. Later, in a quest for further knowledge fuelled by his interest in martial arts he studied Karate, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Thai boxing, Aikido and Tang Soo Do and attained the grade of 1st Dan Black belt in most of them.  The main focus behind the formation of Jado Kuin Do was to bring together the combative skills that could be readily adapted to the modern age. Jake has kept the traditional values of his earlier arts, but through well researched scientific concepts and 30 years of  continuous study forms the adaptable art of Jado Kuin Do.

The meaning of Jado Kuin Do
Literally translated, Jado is the originator (an abbreviation of Jake Ogden’s name); Kuin means ‘family style’ and Do means ‘art’ or ‘the
way’.

Jado Kuin Do is much more than just punching, kicking and physical exercise. It is gives people awareness, self discipline, mental guidance and philosophical values. Jado Kuin Do is a seemingly simple yet complex martial art, which encompasses strength, speed and power coupled with sensitivity, accuracy and grace. All of these elements collectively will assist students in their never-ending circle of learning, self-discovery and internal calm. Jado Kuin Do includes the physical practice of specific movements that have been devised into a complete mental, physical and spiritual system of self defence. Some movements are soft, while others are hard, some performed fast while others slow, but- when performed properly - always effective.

Jado Kuin Do is based on the fighting strategies of five animal forms. Each animal form is designed to develop a different essence.
The tiger represents power, strength and aggression.
The dragon represents the spiritual and philosophical side.
The panther represents cunningness, speed and agility.
The crane represents maneuverability and balance
The snake resembles breathing, accuracy and precision.
Collectively - a very complete form of self defence.

Update over Christmas

I have been hard at work today working on the syllabus, which is now fully complete from white belt to 7th Degree blackbelt. A quick black coffee and then off to train: 2 hours of patterns/forms/katas today and then an hour of basics! I love what I do and love the industry I work in. I have dedicated my life to my art form and wellness. From here I wish to help and inspire many others through this blogg. I only have very limited time as I personally train exclusive clients and teach at my centres of excellence. But through this blogg I can reach a greater audience.

Thought of the Week

The sunday evening feeling:
Thought of the week:
Do you get that feeling on a Sunday evening that you are not looking forward to work the next day? Try to tip the scales the other way; instead of thinking "Ive got to go to work", try thinking and then saying "I get to go to work!" and feel privileged to go. A possitive mind set is everything. Tip the scales in your mind and youll feel much better for it.

A Great Week

This week has been really productive. I have been busy comprising the Jake Ogden P.A.T. training systems. P.A.T. is the acronym for Personal Achievement Training, which provides a complete package for personal clients. PAT comprises of Martial Arts Coaching (Jado Kuin Do), Physical Health & Fitness, Motivational Coaching, Diet suggestions and  Life Style Analysis. PAT is all about working smart; with this system my clients can very quickly attain their goals. I’m really excited about this, as there is so much variation that people can choose from. I teach all about personal awareness, de-escalation skills and personal safety too if that’s what people are looking for within their package.

Follow this blog as i will be updating this on a regular basis to give an insight of who i am, what i do and how i do it.

Bye for now!
